2.2. Connecting a Webcam to AnyCam Software

In addition to connecting video sources available on the network, the application allows you to connect a local webcam connected via a USB port or built into the PC.

To connect a webcam:

  1. Open the camera properties panel by clicking the gear icon on the camera tile.

  2. In the "Select Webcam" drop-down list, choose the desired webcam from the available devices.

  3. The webcam stream will appear on the main screen.

Multiple webcams can be connected simultaneously — each webcam is added as a separate camera and appears as an individual tile on the main screen. The video resolution and frame rate depend on the webcam hardware capabilities.

Note: USB webcams must be connected and recognized by the operating system before they appear in the drop-down list. If your webcam is not listed, check the Windows device manager to ensure the device is installed correctly.
