6.8. PTZ camera control
For cameras supporting PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) functionality, AnyCam provides a built-in control panel. The PTZ panel automatically appears when viewing a camera that supports PTZ commands via ONVIF protocol.
Accessing PTZ controls
The PTZ control panel is displayed in the bottom-right corner of the single-camera view. It appears when you hover over the camera image:
Directional controls
The PTZ panel contains four directional buttons for camera movement:
Up — tilts the camera upward
Down — tilts the camera downward
Left — pans the camera to the left
Right — pans the camera to the right
Press and hold a directional button for continuous movement. Release the button to stop.
Home position
The central Home button returns the camera to its initial (default) position. This is useful after manual adjustments to restore the standard viewing angle.
Zoom controls
Zoom In — magnifies the image (optical or digital zoom depending on camera capabilities)
Zoom Out — reduces the magnification level
Velocity control
The velocity dropdown allows adjusting the speed of camera movement. Available values range from 10 (slowest) to 100 (fastest). The default value is 50.
ONVIF presets
If the camera supports ONVIF presets, you can:
Select a preset from the dropdown list
Click the arrow button to move the camera to the saved position
Presets are pre-configured positions stored in the camera's memory, such as "entrance," "parking lot," or "lobby."
ONVIF profile selection
The Profile dropdown at the bottom of the PTZ panel allows selecting the ONVIF media profile used for video streaming. Different profiles may offer different resolutions or compression settings.
